The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: In our advocacy and welfare work we aim to disrupt exploitation of wildlife and promote welfare of animals. We combat the following issues: the exotic pet trade, wild animals in captivity for public entertainment, lack of peaceful coexistence with wildlife, fur farming, use of body-gripping traps, and wildlife thrill killing practices.
Goal Two: At The Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary we provide a home to hundreds of monkeys who have come from unnatural and often traumatic situations. We provide all residents with lifetime care in natural enclosures, with veterinary care, and the companionship of other monkeys. We are seeking to transform the infrastructure at the sanctuary, empowering the team to provide standard setting care.
Goal Three: In our Global Conservation work we aim to address the biodiversity and extinction crises. We support West African countries in expanding and strengthening protected areas, strengthen capacity of West African countries to combat wildlife crime, and advocate for the adoption of international, regional, and national commitments to halt unsustainable and illegal exploitation.
