Benefactor/Fundraiser Sought for Greenleaf

The Historic Greenleaf Cemetery Association, a volunteer managed 501(c)13 non-profit, is seeking a Benefactor/Fundraiser Event Coordinator. With the continuation of declining *plot sales and burials @ Greenleaf, this request is more important than ever for the survival of the GCA. If interested, please contact GCA at greenleafcemetery@gmail.com

(Note: *plot sales and burials make up the largest revenue stream for the Association.)

Volunteer Help Needed @ Greenleaf

“The GCA, a 501(c)13 non-profit Cemetery Association, is calling for weed-eat volunteers at Brownwood’s Historic Greenleaf Cemetery. With all this recent rain and high temps, the grass throughout the cemetery is growing quite rapidly. Help with weed-eating around headstones is the need. After learning of the GCA’s plan, Matt McCrane (Fuzzy’s Taco Shop) and Micah Jaynes (Pioneer Tap House) stepped up and offered up an extra special reward/incentive program for volunteer participants. Historic Downtown Brownwood and Historic Greenleaf Cemetery have a long storied connection and this is a great example of the great bridge-building that can come from community involvement and attention to both. Thank you Matt, Micah and Weed-Eat Volunteers for the help!” SH – GCA President

(Note: A special thank you to Jonathan Dunlap of ASAP Creative Arts for the promotional work.)
