As planned, dead & dangerous tree removal began early today at Brownwood’s Historic Greenleaf Cemetery! Six down, thirty nine to go! Some of the incredible stumps will no doubt be worked into future landscape projects. Think you City of Brownwood, Texas – Government for funding this very critical infrastructure improvement project.
Once the irrigation line we are advocating for is laid down from gate to gate, the GCA will proceed with our mass (175) Crepe Myrtle planting. This mass planting will require community participation and tree sponsorships. We expect this community event will take place in September of 2024. For a greener and more beautiful Greenleaf, trees lost must be replaced!
